Boracay International Beach Football Championship

ALL ROADS lead to the country’s ultimate summer getaway as San Miguel Beer Summer Babad Beach Soccer tournament turns up the heat this weekend at Summerplace on Boracay Island.
Dubbed as Summerplace’s Luna Nueva 2006, the beach soccer tournament is open to teams composed of six to eight players, is a whole-day event set from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Interested participants have until today night to register. Registration is at Summerplace, near Station 2. Look for Kit Acenas or Wendell Simbulan.
Beach soccer is a four-on-four sport open to everyone who wants to plunge into a different kind of beach action. It is a fun and exciting event that promises a pleasurable experience suited for all ages.
The champion will receive special prizes from SMB.
After a day of hitting the ball in the powder-like sands of Boracay, the participants can enjoy the program dubbed as Sunset Chillout, with DJ Jaco until 7 p.m.
The next activity is the PoI Showdown or the fire-dancing competition. The best fire dancers from all over the Philippines perform fiery numbers from 11 p.m. onwards.
And finally, after those hot performances, the heat of the night rages on as the Summerplace’s Luna Nueva Party, the party of all parties, caps the night until the wee hours of the morning with DJ Jaco and DJ Roberto Sanchez hitting the music scene.
