Our centre

The centre is perfectly located right on the beach. There is a long kite rigging area, along with changing facilities, toilets and shower block. Storage for customers kites and boards and full beach service is available with compressor. Our shop has stock of the latest available and used equipment as well as everything you’ll need for kitesurfing.

Ocean Republic was the first IKO (International Kiteboarding Organisation) centre in Asia. We have been teaching kite surfing since 2002 - that's over 6 years experience in the industry!

The IKO (International Kitesurfing Organisation) is the international governing body for the sport of kitesurfing. They implement guidelines for teaching practices and safety procedures, which are essential to make kitesurfing both safe and enjoyable.

Ocean republic ONLY employs highly qualified IKO instructors so you know you are being taught by the best on the island. Most have qualified under the intensive Instructor Training Courses run at Ocean Republic by the IKO’s most widely sought trainer Neil Godbold (UK, Paracademy). As Neil is frequently on the island we never allow our standards to slip.
